HALAL

In a food or medicinal context, ‘halal’ refers to the absence of alcohol and/or pork in the final product. Many claims that they are halal because they use neither of these products, but they fail to take into consideration the possible contamination by other products they manufacture or the possibility that the raw material has been contaminated.

For example, the gelatin that is used for the manufacturing of medicinal capsules can be porcine, and the same is the case for some types of chewy candy. CSI Analítica can accurately ascertain and certify that a product is halal based on chemical analysis.
